Spectramp privacy policy

Effective 6 October 2026 · version 1.0

Spectramp plays music files on your computer. It does not collect, sell or share personal information, and it has no account and no analytics.

Spectramp only goes online when you ask it to:

• Album covers (off by default): when switched on, the artist and album name of a track without a cover are sent to MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive to find one.
• Lyrics (off by default): when switched on, the artist, title, album and length of a track without a lyrics file are sent to lrclib.net to find synced lyrics.
• Internet radio: stations you add are played from the addresses you enter.

Covers and lyrics that are found are kept on your computer. Your settings, playlists and caches stay in the app's own folder and are removed when you uninstall Spectramp.
